Customer Profile
Football clubs and sports clubs have become an important market for our range of products, with new facilities being developed throughout the country.
Rearo's headquarters and production facility are a stones throw from Ibrox Stadium, however the company have offered support to St Mirren Football Club, one of the leading provincial Scottish teams with frequent visits as corporate guests.
In January of 2009, St Mirren moved into a brand new 'St Mirren Park' stadium with 8000 all seated capacity and Rearo were delighted to supply a range of materials. In recent years St Mirren FC has developed into a regular customer of Rearo and there are few areas in the old Love Street stadium or the club's new home on Paisley's Greenhill Road that has not benefitted from wall panels, counter surfaces, toilet, shower and changing areas that were manufactured by Rearo in their Govan factory.
Founded in 1876, the club initially played cricket and rugby, but a year later the members switched codes and joined the local football league. St Mirren FC has had no fewer than six home grounds throughout its history including its latest move. During that time the club has won the Scottish Cup on three occasions - 1926, 1959 and 1987. In 2005-06 they won the first division championship and gained promotion to the Scottish Premier League.
St Mirren's Commercial Manager, Campbell Kennedy, says: "We have built up a strong relationship with Rearo over the years and have used materials supplied by them on many occasions. We have the reassurance of knowing that the quality and service Rearo provide is always first class."
Managing Director of Rearo, Graham Mercer, said: "It's always a pleasure to do business with St Mirren, especially since quite a few of our workforce are keen supporters of the club!"
